The Adventures of Ran-Chan
Sep 26th, 2009 | By RanChan | Category: JapanFor the entertainment for my students (and myself) I’ve been producing superbly low-grade comic adventures featuring Ran-Chan as the hero. I’ve put them under a new tab on the site’s home page, entitled “The Adventures of Ran-Chan.” Check them out!
Each comic was created by the simple yet powerful online comic creation software at www.pixton.com.
Hi there, I was searching for something totally unrelated but looking at Tomiai and I came across your blog. I was an ALT in Tomiai from 1990 until 1993 (my sister is still in Reihoku) and it was nice to know that some die hard enkai traditions are still around. I wonder if Tomiai has changed much in all those years? I did go back in 2001 and it was very different even then to when I was first there. I bet you are actually teaching some of my pupils kids there (if they stayed and they let you teach sho-gakko) which is a bit scary… I am a Brit and had 3 of the best years of my life out there so enjoy and don’t overdo the drinking!

HAHAHAHAHA! Love the comics man! Keep making them
Helen it’s great to hear from you. What a coincidence you found the site! Although I suspect there isn’t a lot of info on Tomiai out there in the vastness of internetdom. The biggest change that has come to Tomiai since you’ve left is the shinkansen line, I would guess. I’m not sure if I’m living in the same place as you did (that’s mind blowing) but the new train line passes nearbye, above the “old” commuter lines. It isn’t finished yet, but it will be in a year or two.
